With last year's Tenth anniversary the Serbian Film Festival introduced the Peoples choice Award for the most watched film at the festival, which took place in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide Canberra and Wollongong,
Amidst intense competition from 6 films the people's Choice Award went to the film Woman with the Broken Nose, directed by Mr.Srdjan Koljevic and produced by Bas Celik.
The Peoples choice Award and the prize of 1,000EUR was presented to Mr.Srdjan Koljevic at the Australian Embassy in Belgrade, which hosted the event.
Serbian Film Festival Inc. was registered as a non profit organisation in Australia in 2001. It serves to promote serbian film and culture, not only to the serbian ethnic audience but also to the Australian public in general.
Over the last ten years we have showcased 76 serbian films, brought over 20 festival guests from Serbia including film directors, producers and actors, as well as organised two exibitions in colaboration with the Serbian Ethnografic Museum.
